  • I am so thrilled to see that Pastor Don’s ministry site is up now!!!! It is called In His Name Ministry, found here:

    There are teaching tapes available. Let me tell you they are awesome. Two of Pastor Don’s passions are faith and the end times. I have been to his prophesy seminars and have learned so much.


    I have been sharing teaching notes with you, but I think you will be blessed by hearing his teachings directly. For I include as much as I can, but I am certain there is much I miss.


    By the way, today is FRIDAY, and I will share what we learn at Bible study later on.

  • I just read your last post.  Hugs!  I know God can heal that and much more.  Get honest with Him and allow Him to change your distorted images of Him.  I some similar experiences only my dad didn’t drink.  He was an adult child of an alcholic.  He had a lot of the same rage. 

    As you acknowledge your past you can choose a new future.  Healing.  God will “restore the years the locust have eaten.”  May God bless you.  Your in my prayers.  lala

  • Thank you SO much for your prayers; I need ‘em! Beth Moore seems to be a good teacher; I can’t say I’ve read much of her work. I spend most of my time in the Reformation/Early Church period writings.

  • Hi Heather… regarding your comment on my site, it was very true… and I responded with this…….

    “Only God can “cleanse” sin with His forgiveness. But we need to ultimately “let go” of that offense that has been comitted against us, or it plants a destructive seed of bitterness. I really feel this can only be done through the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives… our “flesh” just can not produce this kind of work.”

  • Just read your post from March 15.  I weep with you my sister.  It breaks my heart and the heart of God that your parents sinned against you so severely.  It was their free will to abuse you so severly.   God didn’t want them to do it, they choose to. 

    My Dad also went into unexplained rages and you never knew what would set him off.  I was also the target n the family.  Some of the places I found recovery and healing were Christian 12 step groups, journaling,  Joyce Meyer Life in the /Word ministry. (she has a very similar story to yours and God has brought her out the other side.)  Life Recovery Guides, by Intervarsity Press, especially the one of Distorted Images of God.  (You can order these on line.)  And strong contact with other Christian people who will help to love you back to life. 

    This is a process and a journey.  It will take time, prayer, and effert, but you will be fully healed.  I’m not surprised at all that some things take you longer to get.  Know even in just your head right now how much God loves you.  Today I experience God as my Father and I trust Him but it’s taken lots of time. 

    At this point in my life when I write about my past it’s like I’m writing about someone else.  It no longer effects my today.  I share only to help others.  God has so healed the hurts so completely.  What I’ve incurred at the hands of others in my childhood God has restored.   The enemy of my soul meant to destroy me and keep me from my loving Father with memories of my earthly Father.  Satan is the one who wants to keep you from Victory.  My life verse is Isaiah 63:1-3   He has given me beauty for ashes and I believe he will do the same for you.

  • Thank you!  I never knew there was so much in Galatians.  Usually I just speed through it!    Is your cat long-hair?  Mine, because he’s a different breed, has fur more like a rabbit and he really doesn’t shed too much.  He does some pretty weird things like fighting with himself.  Lays on the floor on his side and starts kicking himself in the head with one of his hind feet, but hey, he seems happy!

  • I can’t tell you how nice it was to hear that Pastor Don liked my NoteWorthys.  I don’t know the man, but I’ve really come to appreciate his insight, and to have him think I’m pretty durn close is a REAL compliment.  Thank you!!
