  • I had to miss Bible study yesterday because we ended up in New York City for dentist appointments. My oldest son had all four wisdom teeth pulled. We also went back to the 79th Street Boat Basin to visit an old friend named Ed, who has a charter boat there. Jim and I lived in New York City on a boat in the Boat Basin for many years. It was a wonderful time, and a great community. My kids had never seen the boat basin before, so they had fun being on Ed’s sail boat. Infact, my Ed really liked Ed Bacon. We had a lot of fun recounting the good times of the people in the Boat Basin. Some of the stories are too funny for words, some were bittersweet memories.

Here are a couple of pictures.

Here is one of Ed and Ed talking on the boat, you can see from the smile that my Ed is enjoying himself.

My three kids, Katherine, Ed, and Christopher. I can’t believe Christopher is smiling after having his four wisdom teeth removed. And Ed Bacon is behind them..

And finally, as we were leaving, Jim got this picture of Ed, the kids, and me.

Thought you might enjoy these pictures. I am now working up another Israel post. I keep trying to download videos, but if they are over 3 minutes they bomb out, and I don’t know how to adjust them. I would love to have you hear Pastor Don teach. Writing cannot relay the love behind the teachings.

    Have a blessed day.

  • Your children (youth) are beautiful Heather.  Your Ed has such a satisfied smile in that pic!  Life after wisdom teeth?  A smile afte wisdom teeth?   Poor Christopher, what a trooper!   These pics ring home to me.  I grew up on a Bay very, very much like this.  My uncle had a yaugt basin, my grandpa was a shrimper and had a boat camp.  Many an afternoon and evening was spent on the pier in front of my grandma and grandpa’s house playing.  I’ll never forge the blue skies and white whispy clouds and those gorgeous sail boats!   Thanks so much for sharing with us your family.    : )

  • Great Pics! And everyone looks like they had a Great time! Have an Awesome evening!……..In Christ’s Love…….Monic

  • Wow , how cold did it get ?

3rds out in NY city , what did they charge for that ?

    I agree Great Photos !

    Have a great weekend ,

    Barry

  • Dear Barry, the cost was astronomical, but no choice. What was interesting though was that we wanted to cut it back to only two because of the cost, and the dentist knocked off $1,900 from the final bill because we told him we couldn’t afford to take all four out at the cost he quoted us. My son is not a happy camper today, and has hopes of water skiing tomorrow. He will not be happy when we tell him he can’t. I just laid hands on him and prayed.

  • Great pics you have a beautiful family. Looks like a fun day except the getting the wisdom teeth pulled.

    Love ya, Darlena

  • Looks like everyone enjoyed themselves! I’m suprised too that your son was smiling. My daughter had her’s pulled, and was on the couch for 2 days! Thanks for sharing.

  • I really do love these pictures, Heather. You have such a gorgeous family. (& I do mean that!) Poor Christopher! I remember when I was in college and had to have my wisdom teeth out (& they were impacted, too! And I had neither parent, nor pain shot (because I was a minor, away from parents, so the surgeon merely gave me a minor local….. ah misery!… never again! Guess I won’t have to anyway… no more wisdom — teeth, at least!) I am praying for Christopher right now. ~ Blessings to you all… Carolyn

  • Beautiful photos and I love the waterfalsl and streams.
