  • Wow, I was praying today about how to deal with weight loss, as I hit a glitch yesterday. There are days when the inner hurt is pretty tough and I start using food as a way to stuff feelings. Yesterday was one of those days where I used 10 of my optional points in a way that was not fun, just stuffing food that wasn’t even desired, just there.

Well this morning the Girl Scout Council of our area sent me an email about an organization called America on the move.  www.americaonthemove.org And you can sign up to begin walking. And as you walk you can earn donations to an organization of your choice. So I signed up, and I think it will inspire me to do the walking that I need to do. So God was the answer to a prayer. If any of you are interested, you may have an organization in your area that could benefit from your doing exercise. If not, and you want to support my girl scout council, let me know and I will gladly email you the code number for them.

I could use prayers today to stop this spiral before it goes more downward. Why is it that weight loss can cause so many emotions to surface?

Hope you have a great day. Today is Friday and Bible study. Can’t wait, and I will share the notes with you as soon as I get some time on the computer this evening.

  • for me it has to do with “others may…you may not”

    rejection. isolation. being shunned.

i would imagine that it is different for many…

thanks for comment and for prayers for brea.

    she’d appreciate them….

  • Prayers that you will give this negative spiral to the Lord.  blessings on your life.  lala

  • That is GREAT, Heather!!! God is so good to us!!!!

Bless you and hope you have a great day!!! There used to be a saying that when you feel hungry, it is your spirit that is hungry for God. Maybe when you feel hungry, you could read a few scriptures???? At least, it would take your mind off the food.

    love u!!!

  • Heather, I can soooo relate…some days my husband drives me to cookies….but we cant let no pile of cookies tell us what to do…right? …so next time your feeling like reaching for the fries or the chocolate or the whatever– try to eat something “alternative” instead.  Light Popcorn is a good one cuz it takes a while to eat it and it has a lot of fiber so it makes you feel full…and if you crace sweet stuff get Kettle Corn instead of buttered…or get buttered and put some Splenda on it…its good. Also, theres these popcorn seasonings called Kernal Seasonings (http://www.nomorenakedpopcorn.com/) You can sprinkle this stuff on popcorn to make it BBQ flavor, or Chocolate or any of a bunch of other stuff. If not popcorn force yourself to cut up fruit as if you plan to eat it…by the time you finish cutting it all youlll think to yourself…Oh well, might as well eat it.  Hang in there, were doin this together and WE ARE GOING TO BE SUCCESSFUL!

  • You can do it!!!  I believe you can!!!!  Just keep going, keep looking up, and keep reading His word… He’ll get you there!

  • I know you can do it HEATHER you are a strong woman! AMEN

TY SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS hon! MUCH APPRECIATED

Leaving tomorrow but will be in touch.

GOD BLESS YOU .,..have a wonderful weekend………………..

    hugs

  • I will be praying. Rest in Him as you walk!

  • “There are days when the inner hurt is pretty tough and I start using food as a way to stuff feelings.”

Best thing to do ? Don’t judge yourself if you grab for food instead of the phone, but do start talking more. Call someone, get together with someone, just start talking. ((hugs))

“just stuffing food that wasn’t even desired, just there.”

I can relate to that. It’s hell.

    Walking is good.

“Why is it that weight loss can cause so many emotions to surface?”

I can answer that from an e.d. perspective, not so sure for normies. Heh. Losing “pounds of pain,” becoming aware of your body, feeling exposed, feeling attractive, a sudden freeing up.

    ((hugs))
