  • Was talking with Pastor Don today, and found out that they are starting to put videos on the internet, and they are beginning to add to our site. I shared our church site, but there is another site that has two of Pastor Don’s sermons on streaming video, with more to be added in the future. Here is the site for you, the sermons are about stress, something that is very relevent to me.

  • Heather, all the Lord asks is that you are willing! We cannot do anything to save ourselves, help ourselves or change ourselves. It is His work, which is why we need Him so desperately! He loves us enough not to stop drawing us to Him, He never lets go or gives up on us, even when we give up on ourselves. Even when we fail, it is still the willing heart that pleases Him, not the one that refuses. Consider the parable of the two sons. Matthew 21:28-32. What does Jesus say to the Pharisees? ( I have heard this taught wrongly so many times, but if you hear the words of Jesus after the Pharisees answer, it is the willing heart He looks for!) Blessings to you!

  • You’re right, prayer is the key……we war not agains flesh and blood……..it’s really our greatest weapon…….if God leads you….pray for this girl…..her name is Cherish  Thanks for your comments and encouragement!

  • RYC: I think tossing the book was probably a wise decision…I was nervous to say that I had read it because everyone was telling you to just toss it…Chilton does seem to be over the theological waterfall without his barrel…anyhow…I often read books that others stand far away from…I have always felt that if I ‘always’ only know one perspective I will struggle at understanding where other people are coming from…I have read Neitzche, Gould, Darwin, Freud, etc…it is amazing some (and I emphasize some) of the truth that they still have…though you have to dig deep to find it…much like Paul when he went into Idol infested cities/nations and claimed that he knew the name of their unknown god…I am sure that he had to throw out a lot of their rituals and even many of their beliefs but he embraced the Truth that was there, hiding, under the surface…I also always loved how he would quote ‘their poets’…meaning he read pagan/heathen/idolatry type poetry…in fact he quotes it…so it was probably actually committed to his memory…anyhow…I am rambling as usual…thanks for all the thoughts that you share with everyone…I have really enjoyed the conversation of your site and insight…
