  • My husband took this picture 2 1/2 hours ago and it is still snowing. We are still going to drive to Bible study tonight, hopefully it will be on. We have discovered a great secret, we get good Bible studies at difficult times.

By the way on the day of my baptism we had a blizzard like that and our pastor felt that he knew we were really wanting to be there to drive on our roads. We are up in the mountains and the roads are curvy. Because we are near a reservoir for New York City there are limits on what can be put on the roads to make them safe.

  • How pretty!

  • Wow, Heather!! Around here with that much snow, there’d be no way we could get out.. whether we wanted to or not! I guess that’s one of the benefits of living in an area that’s USED to snow.. they know what to do with it!

  • It looks beautiful although I know it would not be fun to drive in!

  • Wow, that is beautiful. I’ve never seen snow like that in person, I might get the chance to see it soon (next winter maybe)

Stay warm, it is in the 60′s here in Sarasota, Florida, it’s supose to drop to 40′s tonight. I love cold weather!

    Have a restful night.

    Hugs,

    Maria

  • That looks so beautiful and you are so lovely!  It is so nice to see what you look like!  Thank you for thinking of me.  It is stressful that is for sure.  It turns out that Andreas parents did call the police, but we had already told them that she was with us and safe and since she is over 17 she was free to leave.  I am so glad though that we let them know she was here so they didnt report her as a missing person.  I dont know why they called the police, they still want her out by the time she is 18 and that is in one month.  It is an adjustment for all of us, even though we love her already.  She is grieving, but happy to be gone.  I did find out this morning by talking to her that she was sexually molested by a friends older brother when she was little but not badly and her father hit her.  So I am going to try to get her on medicaid so she can get into counseling for all of this.

I am feeling quite a bit of stress trying to do everything I normally do, and trying to get her settled.  But I am strong and this is what God wants me to do, so I will be alright.  Andrea loves to be by me and wanders out quite often to just sit and talk to me for long periods of time.  I am glad I am here for her.

Thank you for careing.  It means more to me than you know.

Hope you made it to Bible Study and back safely. I am in North Carolina  where there is no snow but I am from Pennsylvania. We spent 8 years pastoring in Minnesota , I am well aware of what kind of snowfall you can get.My prayers are with you. In case the lingering of winter starts to get on your nerves Just remember that the Bible says that God brings the snow forth out of His treasuries. It is ment to be a blessing. Be blessed and have a good time playing in the snow.

  • Bible study did not happen. We got to the church and an empty parking lot, sigh. First time that ever happened, and I guess I should have called.

  • I would have to want to be somewhere really bad to drive on snow covered roads also. Of course I don’t hardly drive , if the roads are covered in the least.

  • Wow…soo much snow.  Looks like Michigan!  : )  You look really good in that picture.

  • Sheesh, we only got a few inches and school districts were closing.  My husband is a school bus driver and didn’t have to go to work today.
