Tonight I was watching Fox News and they had a story on that made me want to cry. An atheist has set up a video site (blaspheme challenge) where teenagers, who are “programmed and beaten down by their Christian parents” can go and blaspheme God. He even offers prizes for this action on the kids parts. His theory is that being forced into Christian environments is oppressive to kids and this is a way to fight against the oppression. But this atheist doesn’t see that he too is doing the same kind of programming with his agenda. But these are kids who do not realize what they are doing when they make these statements against God. Bill O’Reilly said he was sickened by the site, and that the kids were spewing out hatred and frightening thoughts. He pointed out, to this atheist, that Christians do a great many good things and what would the atheist replace the Christian values with. The atheist countered that atheists also do good things. I hope that this site gets shut down by powers that be, because this serves no good purpose, but only rouses hate.
But what atheists do not do is offer anything beyond this limited lifespan on earth. Someone once said they saw an atheist’s gravestone with the words, “All dressed up and no place to go.” It seems to be a game with these people, how to completely oppress Christians, claiming that it is in the interests of free speech and tolerance. Yet the very things they say they are fighting for, they are denying Christians – namely free speech and tolerance of Christian values and beliefs. I can think of far worse things that kids are indoctrinated in today than the ten commandments and beatitudes. Every day I see signs of the times, showing me that lawlessness is abounding, and the end times are near.
Pray for our kids that they do not get drawn into such nonsense, that they hold onto their values, that they seek God, and find safety in His arms in the midst of all the craziness they are surrounded with.
Praying your Sunday is blessed. I will try to type out Bible study stuff, but right now my oldest is filling out financial aid forms on the internet, and I am very restricted in my time here on Xanga.

i guess that’s the problem with some parents. they force Christianity on their kids, which causes them to hate it. that’s sickening too. but yeah, stupid video. nonetheless we should pray for the person who set up the site. he probably experienced something like that in his past too.

I went to the website to check it out. They actully have people blasphme the Holy Ghost first on you tube …before they can send you thier video. ANd they do admit that they target teens for a purpose. It’s just awful.
When I hear of things like that, Heather, it makes me believe that it won’t be all that long before this nation will be out to persecute believers in Christ. I just read this in my devotions this week: Philippians 1: 27-30a (NLT, here.) “Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News. Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself. It’s happening just as God has said in His Word…….we should expect nothing less. On the other side of the coin, the Glory of God is to be rising upon His people…..it’s time to arise!!!! It’s time to be the church that God had in mind…have a wonderful Lord’s day…..Christy
I heard about this on our chrisitan radio station and I was shocked. They said there was a christian backlash with Christian kids and teens put out their own videos about how the Love the Lord and exalting his name. I think that is awesome. I think we should encourage all our teens to do the same. I know my daughter is now 18 and she has to deal with people at work’s idea of christianity. They are always shocked when she can do different things like wear makeup or listen to certain music, even though she only listens to christian music she doesn’t listen to hymns, you know what I mean. People in the world are indoctrined into believing things about Christians that simply aren’t true. Anyway, thanks for getting the word out about this. It is always good to know what to pray for.

WOW! That is terrible about that website that the atheist has set up to spread hate. Just when you think nothing worse can happen…satan finds a way, doesn’t he? Praying for today’s youth and the future of this country. Love, Susan
I heard about this on the radio a few days ago. And what is interesting is that while many are posting blasphemes against the lord, there are several teens submitting videos that defend and proclaim the truth of God.
I think it’s sad, but it’s influence is nothing compared to the power of God.
one thing we can do, I guess, is try to pray that site down! pray that it would get shut down…or the server would break or whatever. Or just that God would reveal is Glory through this seemingly bad attempt to blast Christianity.
It is scary what influences are out there for the youth. I am amazed how anyone thinks Christianity is so wrong, that their way is the right way, they judge us just like they feel judged.They arent tolerant as they feel we’re intolerant. We know the TRUTH and thats what guides us. Lucky for us, We know the end of the story,and the hope that is ours! Have a blessed Sunday too Heather. I am praying about doing the Patriarchs at church. It doesn’t surprise me unfortunately. I am encouraged that young people are posting the Truth and standing up for their love for God as I read in above comments. It’s always so neat to see God turning things around. We must pray though and not let up. Yesterday dh and I had to run into the mall and we were pretty horrified at some of the wickedness. Even dh…gasped a few times. We need to pray. Things seem to be escalating. Keep in mind dh is in prison ministry but is horrified at the general feel of things at the mall!

Not much surprises me about atheists anymore, but this came close. It’s amazing how low some of them will go though in their attempts to discredit God. Considering they don’t believe God exists, it’s funny how angry they are at Him! I wasn’t that angry when I found out there wasn’t a Santa Claus, hmmm….
I did a post on some people like them a while ago here and concluded that the answer is partly to apply 1 Peter 3:15-16. The book of Daniel comes to mind as well; there were some outspoken teenagers for you! And of course the lessons in the Sermon on the Mount to love our enemies and pray for those who despitefully use us….

That is so sad. Thank you for sharing. I will keep it in prayer. We need to bring good things into the next generations lives, not tear down.
The times are evil and it will only get worse but the power of love is greater than evil. I have 3 kids at home and many other youths at church whom I consider my God given children. If we give them enough love and truth by living the life we profess and pray, I suppose we have done our part as parents. I wonder what the atheists went thru’ to do what he is doing. It’s sad but I believe God will change things around for His glory.

I’m on another website where spiritual topics are debated. There are several atheists there and they are always respectful. I’m not very surprised at this other site since this is one of the “Signs of the Times”. As far as closing it down is concerned, that’s freedom of speech.
I wonder what would happen if someone started a site that allowed the same kind of things said about Alah, Muhammed and Islam! I’d bet there would be death threats and protests world wide!

America is going to have some really rough times…We’ve been so blessed here….This is an outrage but we’ve been warned…these are the signs of the times Persecution will come And it will be worse than the Dark Ages Keep praying for our youth, not only reading and studying the Word But apply them with the Holy Spirit power…put away all evil in obedience If you love Me Obey …Pray for each other and put down evil in all its forms with truth What says the iBible Heed the words and serve Him, not self ..or mans interpretations Pray for Holy Spirit guidance in truth Claim His Promises Keep praying for each other and for Holy Spirit filling for these latter days are upon us And we will be victorious in Him even against Satan clothed as Christ {the anti-Christ} who will seek to fool even the elect ….the only safe guard is knowing The Word and whats in Revelation that will let us know God,s plans It is the Book for this last days warnings May we not disreguard our Spirit guided personal study with our personal relationship and emotional feelings about things and prove all . Will continue to pray for our young people and those enslaved by satan’s degrading addictions and we too who call ourselves Christians yet feel ours are little sins and take grace for granted and continue even after asking Jesus paid a great cost to give us grace not , to proprogate sin, but to abolish it in all forms . acually, there’s a HUGE counter-push called the “Anti-Blaspheme” challenge. I mind that MORE than the Blasphemy challenge… because we’re not to copy the world, and doing so only draws MORE attention to the sinful activity… and it just seems wrong, WRONG, WRONG… y’know?!
