  • SELFISH PRAYER REQUEST:

My husband and son have gone out fishing today and caught nothing. They are getting disheartened because the last three times they have gone out this month no fish. I told my oldest son that I would pray for them that they get an abundance of fish. Jim could use that pleasure right now in the midst of the things he is dealing with.

    Thanks,

    Heather

  • That is a prayer request I can get behind whole-heartedly. Thank you for asking. Old Hat

  • Praying. All prayers are important!

  • Lifting them up to the Father who cares about all things…With much love, Paula

  • well, funny.  I just listened to John and Luke on tape today.  I remember the fishing parts vividly.

Tell your guys that even the ‘professional’ fishermen got discouraged and weary until Jesus told them to put their nets out on the RIGHT side of the boat.

Now, maybe He wasn’t speaking of directions only.  I don’t know.  Maybe if they lay their nets before Him they will receive the answer He’s waiting to give them.

Look beyond the catch?  Does that make sense?  I’m typing as I’m getting it.

If I’m way off base, I apologize.

I know what it’s like to need a ‘win’.

    Prayers, okay?

  • oh good!  I’m not the only one :)

tell them if all else fails (and ‘failing’ just means not getting what they hoped for) they can come to Oregon and catch some AWESOME salmon.

I’ll make fish tacos for all :)

  • Why do you feel it’s a “SELFISH Prayer Request?” You’re not praying YOU will catch the fish, you’re praying THEY will.

    Anyway, I will pray!

  •            Thank you so much for stopping by my site…Hope you’re doing well.

  • No prayer’s too small, I’m a day late and a dollar short as they say….but I sure hope they caught a bunch.  Blessings!
