  • Here is the rest of Friday’s Bible study, continued from yesterday. Pastor Don mentions his testimony during this portion of Bible study. If you want to read it, it is included in the book mentioned above.

    Isaiah 46

Isaiah 46:1-3 Bel bows down, Nebo stoops: Their idols were on the beasts and on the cattle. Your carriages were heavily loaded, a burden to the weary beast. They stoop, they bow down together; They could not deliver the burden, but have themselves gone into captivity. Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, Who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb:

From birth God is a covenant keeping God. Pastor Don talked about infant baptism, and stated that infant dedication is biblical - one example is Jesus being brought to the temple, but baptism is more than sprinkling on of water, but whole immersion symbolizing the death, burial, and resurrection. It has to be a voluntary action of the heart, made by someone who is old enough to know the decision they are making. God requires simple obedience as a token that there is something in you. Often the obedience is a bit inconvenient (i.e. wet clothes from baptism), but the action symbolizes something deep within your heart.

In our church baptism, is followed by baptism of the Holy Spirit, and then Holy Communion.

Pastor Don talked about communion and how it relates to the Jewish wedding ceremony, where, after the covenant marriage contract was drawn up that detailed all the groom was to do in preparation for the bride, the bride was called into the room and her acceptance of the groom was sealed by sharing the cup of wine and eating bread. She was then betrothed to the groom and awaited his coming to take her as a bride once the marriage contract requirements were met.

When we take holy communion we are accepting all the promises that Jesus has for us, and we are his betrothed, waiting for his coming to take us to the marriage supper of the Lamb. We belong to Jesus now, and He belongs to us, we are not to court other idols.

Isaiah 46:3-4 Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been upheld by Me from birth. Who have been carried from the womb; Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs (Pastor Don mentioned partially bald heads too) I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

Just a side note, besides the obvious that God is there for us all the time, upholding us. It mentions that God will DELIVER us, in order to need to be delivered you have to be in a position to need being delivered – that is a pretty good indication that our lives will not always be smooth sailing, and we will need to lean on God and be delivered by Him. There are going to be some traps that we fall prey to, some pits we fall into, and some troubles in our lives.

Verses 5-9 To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal and compare Me, that we should be alike? They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver on the scales; they hire a goldsmith, and he makes it a god; they prostrate themselves, yes, they worship. They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it and set it in its place, and it stands; from its place it shall not move. Though one cries out to it, yet it cannot answer nor save him out of his trouble. Remember this, and show yourselves men; Recall to mind, O you transgressors. Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God and there is none like Me.

So often we forget all the things that God has done in our lives or try to rationalize it as chance, or good fortune. But so often God has delivered us, and we need to remember that. (Heather’s note: when we are faced with a problem we need to remember what God has done in our lives, and remind our problem and satan what a great God we have). The idols are made by human hands and are impotent to help us, only a living God, who is sovereign holds power over our troubles. It is to the living God we must come.

Verse 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done. Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand. And I will do all my pleasure.”

The reality is, whether we like what God does or says, He is God. Whether we like the way life turns out, we do not want God to be different. We accept God as He is, and know that He is God, there is no other. God is sovereign. Pastor Don says that when he dies and goes to heaven he may ask God why this situation occurred the way it did, and he knows that God has a good reason that encompasses more than what Pastor Don would know in the flesh. We will see that God had everything in control, and that there was a purpose for everything we don’t understand now. Much of what needs doing, if we are patient we will see occur. There is a supernatural aspect that we don’t realize is behind the scenes. Our weapon is the prayer of agreement.

One woman talked about how she bumped into a woman from her past that she used to study yoga with. This woman is now a Buddhist. And she is taking massage from someone else in our church. Pastor Don pointed out that the masseuse and she should get together and pray a prayer of agreement about this woman’s salvation. For where two are three are gathered in His name, He is present. God knows the end from the beginning, and there are interconnections that we don’t always know in or physical being.

Then we were talking about how God intervenes in our lives, protecting us in dangerous situations. Pastor Don went to Hebrews 1:1-4 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed  heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right and of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

There are cults out there that claim that Jesus is only the Archangel Michael, or an angel like Moroni, and deny His divinity. They are in error. Here it clearly shows that Jesus is more than an angel.

Hebrews 1:5-7 For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten you?” And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son?” But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.” And of the angels He says, “Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire.”

How many of our ministers are such flames of fire – many fizzle out, seeking to blend in with culture. This shows that angels are not the same as Jesus, and then we got into a discussion of ways angels have intervened in our lives.

Isaiah 46:11 Calling a bird of prey from the east, the man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it. I will also do it.

God is in charge, and we need to recognize this in our lives.

Then we started talking about Jehovah Witnesses and how they come to the door, how do we deal with that?

1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you now the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that, Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

If a person’s theology denies the divinity of Jesus, and denies that Jesus is God, but also came into the flesh, died and resurrected for our sins, it is a counterfeit theology.

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

2 John 7-11For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

Someone asked what it meant by greet and Pastor Don told her that it meant something entirely different from a simple “Hi.” In those days visitors met at a table and often a person would come to the table and and the master of the home would pour him a glass of wine. If the master then takes the empty glass and turns it upside down, the meeting is over. If the cup overflows in that the master pours more wine into the glass, again and again it means that the guest is greeted and welcome.

But the answer to this person’s question was not to let them in your house, but to meet them on the doorstep if need be and not take their literature. Before Pastor Don’s wife got saved, Pastor Don would go to church and like clockwork the Jehovah Witnesses would drive up and talk with his wife. He finally, after consulting his pastor at the time, told her to talk with them outside. Then when He was home, he would say, I’ll give you five minutes, but then you have to listen to me for five minutes. He would look at his watch and say “go” and the person usually did not take five minutes.

Pastor Don would then share his testimony, about how God healed him from a disease after the doctor had told him to go home and set his affairs in order. He then told the person to wait, and went in and got the doctor’s records, and showed them to the person. The JW kid was so impressed and Pastor Don told him I’ll take your literature if you take mine. By that time the elder in the car came up to see what was going on. The kid tells his elder about the testimony and the elder decides to talk with Pastor Don. The kid says, he’ll listen for five minutes, but you have to listen to him and he has a fantastic testimony. Pastor Don told the kid he could come back as the elder had taken the kid by the arm and retreated to their car. Pastor Don doesn’t seem to get JW’s anymore at his house.

Pastor Don says that you should not argue Bible theology with them because they are schooled in that and can argue toe to toe with you. But rather share your testimony, share how God is moving in your life, how real God is, what a relationship you have with God. They do not have that in their theology and they cannot argue against your testimony.

Then Pastor Don reminded us that the Spirit and the Word must agree. If there is something in our tradition that does not agree with the Word, we must change our actions to comply with the Word of God. If someone is preaching, or teaching and something grates against your spirit, check things out to make sure that the teaching is Biblical. Your Spirit will protect you from unsound theology.

It was getting to be about 3:00 so we had to stop. Most of us would have loved to continue on. Before I got saved, I never knew how exciting Bible studies are. The Word is so rich and fun to learn.

Hope you have a blessed Sunday. I get to drive Katherine to a Field Hockey camp in Pennsylvania, about 2 1/2 hours away. She is psyched.

    Have a great day.

  • Oh, yes, Heather, I agree…His Word is amazing!!!!!!!!  I suppose the words of Jeremiah capture my heart’s cry–”When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your Name, O Lord God Almighty.”  Jeremiah 15:16  HAve a blessed day worshiping our Lord Jesus~~~~~~Paula

  • I am intrigued by the book you are reading.  I will definitely have to get it and read it myself.  I have always heard that God turned His back on Jesus because He could not look upon His sin.  That book throws that theology right out the window.  I want to know more.  I have never had a close relationship with my own father and my perception of God as a Father was often distorted.  I viewed Him as a Father who was quick to be angry and always ready to pour out His wrath upon those who would fall short of His demands.  And so this puts you in bondage to fear and to approval addiction. Grace and mercy are nullified and works becomes the only way to please.  And this is bondage.  But when you know the truth it sets you free.  There is something powerful about unconditional love.  When you receive it and allow it to work within your heart, it changes you from the inside out. God has been trying to teach me these last few years about His unconditional love.  I am learning how to receive it.  My carnal mind cannot comprehend it and always wants me to try and earn love–if I work really hard and do really good, then maybe I can be counted worthy of love.  But this is contrary to what God’s Word says.  I must receive this love by faith.  For when I was a sinner–at my very worst–Christ died for me.  That is God’s love in action.  I desire to know this love more.  I want it to radically change the way I think and behave.  For love is the most excellent way….

  • I liked your discussion of communion. It will give me something to meditate on this morning when I am remembering my Lord’s sufferings and promise to return when I take communion this morning.

  • I apologize for pissing you off or that you saw the blog late. I was too rash to consider ripping it apart, but don’t worry, hardly anyone reads that thing anyway (about 1 or 2 people).

Of course God is beyond our comprehension at times, but that still doesn’t mean He is in complete control at all times. You still try and fiddle your way into believing something that isn’t true and your response frustrated me because you were spurting out philosophical ideologies that don’t really match up biblically.

I apologize as well if you’ve indirectly assumed I’m trying to pull the body of Christ apart.

I just don’t stand for the argument that God is always in control of everything. There is a whole mess of things that happen on this earth that doesn’t go His way nor is much of it His fault. I don’t get how you can just whisk that truth away by saying it’s just too complicated because He’s beyond us. We are children of God and God gave us His word to reveal us these things and not to just consider that it’s one way or another on the basis that we won’t ever understand Him. That’s not good enough and I expect Him to feel the same way.

I don’t care if you tear up anything I say, because if it’s biblically supported, I would rejoice in the conviction of being wrong.

I apologize as well for having an air of frustration and contempt. You just haven’t made any sense yet with this ‘God is in control all the time under all circumstances’ ideology.

  • As far as the rest of what you had said:

It’s true God intervenes without our prayers, but that still doesn’t mean He’s in complete control. God’s got His strategies and Helel’s got his. It’s a war and if God were in complete control, it wouldn’t make sense. How can you be in complete control of two warring factions? It’s a complete contradiction.

I don’t try to make God act in any way. It’s not God acting anyway. It’s Christ acting and by conforming to His likeness, we can understand more about what’s going on behind the scenes; of His strategies to win this in the end so that we may be heirs in His victory.

  • Dear Takemeforyourglory – you did not anger me, it just seemed rude to rip apart something I wrote and not tell me that you were doing it. Even though one or two comment, that doesn’t mean that others don’t read. If what I am teaching is in error, I do want to know – and if there is a question I cannot answer, I will bring it to my pastors to see if I can get an answer.

I am curious, are you Mormon? If so, I think you may do well to read a King James version or a New King James Version of the Bible from the point of view of asking if God is in control. Just because we do not see God as in control doesn’t mean He isn’t. I also hope you read the above post because it points out that there is a spirit of antichrist and that spirit is one who does not acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God, that Jesus Christ came down to the Earth and died for our sins, was resurrected. Jesus is not an angel, He is God.

God is beyond our time frame. If you do read the Old Testament critically you will see that God is sometimes slow to respond, for He wants people to repent. He may wait hundreds of years, but just because God does not seem to be responding doesn’t mean that He is condoning what is going on. And I am sorry, God is in control – Helel or satan as we call him is NOT God’s equal. God created the angels too- helel was once an angel of God -and a creation IS NOT an equal to the creator.

I see you scanned my testimony, I wish you would read it all – I have found  God who has profoundly changed my life. I don’t think that a god who is not in complete control, would be much of a god to worship. Fortunately God is in complete control of His creation, and is worthy of worship. God is absolute good, and the reason we can even recognize evil is because of how it matches up to absolute good. There is a parable of the wheat and the tares – where satan comes in and scatters tares (weeds) among the good grain. The tares are a plant that looks exactly like the good plants when it grows up, and the only way that there is any difference is at harvest time when you can see the fruit – the tares do not produce fruit. If something I read does not compare completely with the Bible, the Word of God, it cannot possibly bear fruit. We do not add or take away from God’s Word. Please consider a careful reading of the Bible on your own, not with a comentary by anyone else. See what God has to say.

  • I’d like to chat with Pastor Don because he seems less tangible and more philosophical in the things he says. Like this:

“Your Spirit will protect you from unsound theology.”

That’s really not true. We all believe things at times that aren’t very biblical. Take the pre-trib rapture folks for example. A lot of people believe in that and it’s not true. The quote Pastor Don made should very well make us assume that people who are wrong in theology don’t have the Spirit. And by what Spirit is Pastor Don talking about anyway? The Holy Spirit or our own spirit? Because I’ll make the assumption that the Holy Spirit isn’t around here too often nowadays because all of this is too vague.

I mean, from a logical standpoint, praying for and coming to the full knowledge of truth concerning Christ and His kingdom are more helpful in discerning fact between fiction than your spirit. We live in the flesh while on earth and not in the spirit, so it’s not so easy knowing what is right and what isn’t.

He also says this out of context:

“Pastor Don pointed out that the masseuse and she should get together and pray a prayer of agreement about this woman’s salvation. For where two are three are gathered in His name, He is present. God knows the end from the beginning, and there are interconnections that we don’t always know in or physical being.”

In the end Pastor Don sounds a lot more like a religious philosopher than a teacher. Is there any real weight to what he’s saying? And that quote “where two or more are gathered” refers to the body of Christ. Christ can’t magically come down every time two or more are gathered in His name either. Remember, there are numerous passages denoting that the “Heavens must retain Him” until the appropriate time. And praying in agreement doesn’t always mean it will be answered.

Exactly what does it mean when he uses the term salvation anyway?

Here’s the greek context of the word salvation:

    1. deliverance, preservation, safety, salvation
    2. salvation as the present possession of all true Christians
    3. future salvation, the sum of benefits and blessings which the Christians, redeemed from all earthly ills, will enjoy after the visible return of Christ from heaven in the consummated and eternal kingdom of God.

Are you praying that someone become ‘saved’ as to escape hell or are you praying that they come to the truth and knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord for the ability of seeking and gaining the truth and becoming heirs inside His eternal Kingdom on the new earth? They are two completely different prayers and the first really doesn’t make much sense because Christ knows who God’s children are whether or not they come to the full knowledge and acceptance of who Christ is. Consider all the people in the world who are God’s children and will never know who Christ is (Romans 2:13-16). God knows His chidren, whose names are all written in the book of life before the foundation of the earth. To know Christ is a choice of going down the path of becoming heirs to His kingdom and glory. This is the salvation we should be praying for others, to encourage them to conform to the likeness of Christ while on earth so that it may be credited as righteousness on the day of judgment and so that God may say “well done my faithful servant” when we stand before Him.

But all in all, we throw around so many “Christian” words without truly knowing what they mean nowadays. I’m not saying you do but tell Pastor Don to help explain them to you guys. I mean, “Holy”, “Sanctify”, “Pray”, “Love”, “Faith”, and “Salvation” are all words that we just spit out without considering what we are talking about.

  • Hey Heather, I apologize if everything I say at times seems harsh, I am jsut confused often by what people say nowadays.

Heh, I’m not a mormon nor would I like to be a mormon and I’ve never really read any bible commentaries before. I don’t even really like bible commentaries. Everyone seems to have a book out about the bible and everyone wants to be a teacher (even me, which is unfortunate at times). At the same time, everyone seems to extrapolate on passages in the bible that should have been kept simple.

Like the parable of the wheat and tares. He is very direct with that one. God has His creation and Satan has his and at judgment they’ll be separated. Trying to be philosophicall about it just gets things all a mess.

Of course through Christ are all things but that still doesn’t mean He’s in control of all of it. Of course God knows the outcome and He will win in the end but that still doesn’t mean that everything that happens down here is in His control.

Of course Helel is a creation of God but God isn’t always in control of His creations. nor would He want to exert control over them. They have freedom of choice to reject God just like everyone else. God’s not in control of that, nor is He is control of the hell Helel raises on earth against His children.

I again apologize for seeming harsh. I have the tendency to say things out of frustration rather than out of love, and for this I am at complete fault.

But again, if God is complete good, and evil exists in the first place, then God isn’t in control of the evil. It’s pretty simple.

I am slightly upset with Pastor Don because from my previous reply, I worry that he isn’t making much sense at times. I’d like you to talk with Him (or I’d like to) about some of these matters.

And of course Jesus Christ is Lord and higher than angels. He actually governs and controls all the angelic forces on God’s side. But that’s only 1/3 of all the spiritual forces on this earth at the moment. Satan has another 1/3 and all of them certainly aren’t being controlled by God.

  • Funny you should state about throwing around Christian words, on my next entry I will put up a link for another book Pastor Don wrote called Christianese. If you want to talk with him, look on the left hand column of my blog and you will see a link for In His Name Ministries – through that you can contact Pastor Don by phone or email.

I really, really, really think you need to Read the Bible and only the Bible for awhile. We have a spirit in us, and when we get saved we get the Holy Spirit within us – the Comforter – that is within all of us. If  you think the Holy Spirit isn’t around much, you are really listening to unbiblical teaching.

Jesus doesn’t magically come down where two or three are gathered, Jesus is Here, as God is Here, as the Holy Spirit is Here – when two or three are gathered, He is present – and it is called a prayer of agreement – when two or three agree in prayer, that is powerful prayer. And there really will be a pre-trib rapture. Look at Revelation 5 and listen to the song that is sung around the throne of God by the multitudes – only someone who has been saved can sing that song – and if you want I will give you passages that show pre-trib rapture. Oh I am praying for you. and I do care. But I think you would enjoy chatting with Pastor Don.

Everything Pastor Don teaches is Biblical, and since I consider the Bible to be absolute truth, I would say that there is a lot of weight behind what Pastor Don is teaching. He does not take passages out of context, he does not teach something that isn’t in two or three places in the Bible – more than one witness. He is open to questions and will show you in the Bible where he came up with what he is saying. I take notes and share these notes here – Pastor Don has not corrected anything I have written and I give him copies of the things I write – if I am in error, he would tell me. That being said, I am human, so if I get something wrong or don’t take down a particular connecting thought that is my error, not that of my teacher and Pastor.

You never did answer the question. Are you Mormon?

    Heather

  • As for God being slow to respond in the old testament, at times it was Helel’s forces that kept God from intervening. Consider the book of Daniel. Daniel fasted for 3 weeks until He got a response from God. The response was an angel telling Daniel that it took 3 weeks of fighting with the Prince over Persia (a strong principality) to get the message to Daniel and Michael the Archangel actually had to come down and help in the fight just so the angel could get the message through. God had nothing to do with the Prince of Persia fighting with the angel and Michael, but of course in the end the message got through.

I don’t want to use it as an analogy because it seems contrived to do so, but there are a lot of spiritual forces out there that God has no control over and these forces don’t take too kindly of God’s children, so a lot happens on this earth that isn’t in the favor of God’s children nor is it in God’s control. Of course in the end God will be in control but again, saying everything is under His control is like saying that Helel (satan) is under the authority of God. That just doesn’t make sense nor is it biblical.

As as far as what I read, I read the NASB and receive all of the Greek translations from the King James and I cross reference passages from the NASB with the King James to see if the translators screwed up anywhere (which they do on occasion). But I still have yet to find a passage stating explicately that God is in control of all things.

  • Heh, I’m definitely not Mormon. Those guys spook me out.

And I apologize but there is no pre-tribulation rapture. You’ll have to give me the passages that you think are about the pre-trib rapture and I’ll have to sort through them for you. If you believe in a pre-tribulation rapture than Pastor Don does takes things out of context.

God or Christ aren’t on earth either. They are Heaven. God is on the throne and Christ sits at His right until His enemies are made a footstool at His feet.

The Holy Spirit comes and goes and has a lot of work to do. She doesn’t come inside us once we get saved. Nowhere in the bible does it say she comes when we make the decision to follow Christ. The Holy Spirit comes to baptize us in the Spirit, granting us gifts for the sake of sharing these gifts with the body of Christ. But she’s not always around all the time in everyone who believes. I just finished reading the new testament again and I haven’t found one passage referring to that. All the more so, Paul asks us to pray to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Why would we have to pray for such a thing if it comes right at believing?

  • I do read the bible and only the bible. I haven’t read much else in about a year or so.

  • what version of the Bible? My Bible does not use the term Hilel.

    Heather

  • Hey Heather, sorry for eating up your comments pages so much. My email address is jds49@drexel.edu if it starts to get anoying, heh.

Satan’s real name is hidden within the bible. All Angel’s, whether fallen or not, have names that end in -el. The el means “of God”. Think of Micha-el, Rapha-el, Gabri-el, etc.

Satan was created to be the most beautiful and most wise of all Angels, because he was meant to be God’s bodyguard. His real name can be found in the book of Isaiah. here is a more descriptive excpert I found online about it.

In the Bible, the Hebraic text in Isaiah 14:2 refers to Helel Ben Shachar or Heylel Ben-Shachar. Helel Ben-Schachar is translated into English as “O shining star, son of the dawn!” The name Lucifer is a translation of Helel Ben-Shachar into Latin by St. Jerome in the fourth century. Lucifer derives from two Latin words, lux (light) and fero (to bear–to bring), meaning light-bearer, light-bringer. The Bible identifies Lucifer as Devil, Satan, serpent, dragon, dweller of hell and other names.

So to make things short, in the original Hebrew, Satan’s name is Helel and translated into Latin it became Lucifer. Both mean the same thing, being that Satan is the “son of the dawn” or the “light-bearer”.

I’ll do a study of Isaiah 14 on my xanga because it contains a lot of important information that people glaze over often. But to be short again, Isaiah 14 talks about a future event and not an event of the past. One important passage to indicate this is Isaiah 14:15. The pit is in reference to Sheol (Hell, not Tartarus) and is stated again in Revelation 20:3.

  • Hello Heather~ Re:”Pastor Don says that when he dies and goes to heaven he may ask God why this situation occurred the way it did, and he knows that God has a good reason that encompasses more than what Pastor Don would know in the flesh.”
My husband asked this question to about 25 of our college students several weeks ago and it was interesting to hear the responses of what they thought they would ask God when they got to heaven. Myself, I figure that I will be so blown away and humbled in His mighty presence that I won’t be speaking for quite a while… It will be face to His feet for me. Hope you are having a great Sunday. Love and blessings ~Sherry

  • I have a blessing for DaisyMae81 on my site…shhhh, don’t tell her – she is banned from my site Sunday and Monday!!!! Everyone welcome except Connie :)

  • I agree with you about the Word…it’s awesome!  I am blessed that you would subscribe…I subscribed to you too!  Blessings!!!!

  • Take me for your glory – you know, I think it would be an awesome idea if you went to that link of In His Name Ministries and contacted Pastor Don. He would gladly answer your questions. In fact, he welcomes questions. I am glad to hear that you are not Mormon, I was just surprised because Mormans use that name for satan, and they do not believe Jesus is Lord and Savior, just an angel like lucifer. I guess I got concerned because you seem to not believe that God has things in control. I am curious how you come to that realization. See, in my life I realize that often I have expected God to act in a particular way and when He didn’t act the way I expected Him to I believed it was because He was powerless. But God knows what is best, and if we walk in faith, trust Him, and praise Him, at some point we will see just how faithful He is. It does seem that you read and study the Bible a lot and have a lot of questions. I am not a Bible scholar, and I share from my love of God and the Word. I  think that we disagree on some issues that I consider fundamental. I think that debating these is not something I want to engage in. No matter if we are a Pre or a Post trib rapture believer, the absolute truth is that God will do what God says He will do. Our beliefs will not change what God will do. If I say I don’t believe in gravity and jump off of a building I will fall and hurt myself. Gravity does not change even if I choose not to believe in gravity. The rapture will come, and for my part, my goal is not to debate and cause division, but to keep my lamps filled with oil so that I am ready whenever He comes. We can agree to disagree on this topic.

I am hoping you have a blessed day.
