  • This made me laugh.

The Lost Dr. Seuss Book: I Love My Job

I love my job, I love the pay.
I love it more and more each day.
I love my boss; he/she is the best.
I love his boss and all the rest.

I love my office and its location.
I hate to have to go on vacation.
I love my furniture, drab and gray,
And the paper that piles up every day.

I love my chair in my padded cell.
There’s nothing else I love so well.
I love to work among my peers.
I love their leers and jeers and sneers.

    I love my computer and its software;
I hug it often though it don’t care.
I love each program and every file,
I try to understand once in a while.

    I’m happy to be here, I am, I am;
I’m the happiest slave of my Uncle Sam.
I love this work; I love these chores.
I love the meetings with deadly bores.

I love my job-I’ll say it again.
I even love these friendly men,
These men who’ve come to visit today
In lovely white coats to take me away.

Right now I could use a few laughs and a lot of prayers.

  • I am praying, Heather…

Father, you know what my sister is facing right now…I come to YOU, the great Comforter.  Wrap her tightly in your arms of love…Remind her of the truth–your truth…And draw her to your Word like a moth to the flame.  Teach her Lord how much you love her,so that she may climb to greater heights, dig deeper, and expand the boundaries of her knowledge of your great love.  Thank you for the grand plan you have for this dear one…Encourage her and strengthen her weary heart…In Jesus’ Name I pray…Amen

  • Like Paula, I will pray for you, that God will guide you, comfort you, show you His loving hand of mercy and compassion, and lift whatever the burden is (I Cor. 10:13).  I love you, Heather, as so many of the brothers and sisters here on Xanga do.  God bless you, Gerrie

  • *A FEW LAFFS*….I HOPE THE MEN IN WHITE COATS BRING U BACK SOON……     ;oD

  • Hi Heather,

Just stopping by to say Hi cute post.

    Love ya, Darlena

  • May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.  I am reminded of the verse in Jeremiah today where God says He knows the plans He has for you…..plans for your good, a hope for your future, to prosper you and not to harm you…..(my paraphrase!)….anyway…I pray for a fresh filling of his Holy Spirit….a fresh infusion of power over the enemy….and a clear mind to see His heart for you…..be rooted and established in His love for you today……love, Christy

  • My dear Heather,

    Love-love-love the Dr. Seuss poem!

Now, let’s see…laughs, huh?  Okay, go see, “CARS“–or–”OVER THE HEDGE“.  Both are really cute and definitely will make you laugh.

Prayers… I’m on it, even as I’m writing.  Just know you are thought of and prayed for each morning when I have my Bible reading and prayers, and again every evening.  I will add your unspoken concern as well.

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday tomorrow!  Take care!

  • Hey, thanks for asking about me…..I guess you could say I am ok. I resigned from teaching and am opening a coffeehouse in my town. Lots of physical work involved to get it ready. Need lots of prayer since nothing is going as hoped – but it will be ok. I will try to post soon. <>< Melody ><>

  • Very funny….from one who works in a cubicle….do you remember the song, “They’re Coming To Take Me Away, Haha, Hoho, Hee Hee…..”  from the sixties? Anyway, thanks for this, I will send it to friends at work….

  • Hello Heather,

I hope my post did not upset you.  I will keep you in prayer.  I am having a lot of problems with my xanga, and I am thinking of shutting down the site, but if I do I will create another on the web somewhere.  Thanks for being a loyal reader.  You are a blessing!  I cannot grasp some of the suffering you have faced!  Hugs

  • Check out http://www.JCfaith.com  If it is just my current site I probably will create another xanga at some point.  Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

  • Thanks Heather!  You are very thoughtful I hope we cross paths again!  God bless you.
