The Fourth Seal in Revelation will cause widespread Death on Earth, a pale horse, and on the horse sits Death and Hades follows with Him. Power will be given to them over 1/4 of the Earth, and they will kill with sword, hunger, death, and beasts.
Remember the beasts do not have to be particularly large beasts, they could be viruses and bacteria. Imagine 1/4 of the earth killed. I am going to be keeping a running count so that you can see the depth of the pain and suffering for those remaining on the earth. So we are going to use a simple figure of 100, so that if 1/4 of the earth was killed, that would leave 75 left.
We are going to see as the various judgements come down a significant decrease in the population on the Earth, of the things growing on the earth and in the sea. The trumpet judgements will be worse than the seals, and the bowls will be even more intense.
Praise God that we have been given such advance warning of this, and I am praying that as God wishes, none would be lost. We must make sure that as many as possible get to know and accept Jesus into their hearts.
One other thing to keep in mind is that the Book of Revelation comes with a blessing. Chapter 22:7 Jesus says, “Behold I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophesy of this book.”
Hoping you have a blessed night, I have to go and cook dinner.

Hey Thanks for the comment……… Had a good day at church yesterday but troubles on the homefront! Hope you have a blessed week…..T
Dr. Thunderpants, no, God is not the one causing this death, it is Death and Hades that are acting in this. When we plant the seeds of sin in our life, sin causes death. This all began with disobedience to God. When my children disobey, I do not reward them for their disobedience and there are times when I let them see the repercussions of their actions. Sometimes it is not pretty when they have to face up to a teacher or whatever. God gave multiple chances for people to accept Christ, and if those who are left on earth refuse, then they have made their choice, so they are the ones who picked their outcome. And even through this, as you will see later God sends angels to announce the truth to people, the two witnesses and the 144,000 to speak with people to get them to see and accept the truth, and accept Jesus in their life. If they don’t it wouldn’t be loving to force people to be where they don’t want to be, to worship where they don’t want to worship. The sad thing is though, the wrong choice leads to death.
Heather.
Thanks for engaging me in this discussion. In order to limit our copying and pasting, I’ve responded to your comment at my site. Thanks, Joel
RTC – The book is very good. I encourage you to read it if you have others to discuss it with. Some of the questions the author asks can rattle your faith depending on what you believe. You can count me as one of those people to talk about it with and I’ve contacted some others. Some things he asks us are – How much do we interpret the Bible through glasses shaded by our culture and our place in history?
Thanks again, Heather…”Even so, come, Lord Jesus, come!!!”
With much love and many prayers,
Paula
