  • Thank you for your book suggestions. I have made a list and will try to get some of these selections for her to choose from. For those who like good books, try the Redwall series, it is many volumes long and she loves them. Also Mrs. Frisby and The Rats of Nimh (sp?)  is a great book.

I am still choked up. Today in discipleship class we were giving testimonies, continued over from last week. I got to give mine, the focus was women who were mothers and bored housewives. My set comes from my real life membership in a book club, where the women are connected to the New Age. So I tailored my testimony to that group. If you haven’t read my testimony it is on the following dates of this year. March 15, 19, 29, 31 and April 2, 7, and 16.

Listening to the people who spoke kept me in tears. Our church has so many wonderful people in it who are vibrant and filled with Christ and life and joy, but hearing their testimonies and how far they come makes me realize just how awesome God is. I love the fact that our church is like a hospital for hurting people, and that God moves so wonderfully in our lives. I am also blessed that Pastor Don has discipled so many wonderful people and helped them to come to Christ. Especially grateful that Pastor Don helped me come to Christ. If I can be saved, believe me, anyone can be saved.

I will get to notes tomorrow to start sharing some facts that I am learning in the class.

Hope you have a great weekend. Here in New York Monday is a holiday, so the kids are off from school. We have boy scout activities (unless we get rained out).

  • Wow…initially i came to say thank you for your continued prayers, the Lord is great and has really strengthened my family this week. Upon reading your post i have to thank the Lord once again for His mercy, grace, miracles, and healing ability. You have a great testimony of what God has brought you through. I know that my shallow life has had nothing to compare to the sufferings that you have had, so it seems any comment toward that would be meaningless. I am glad that you were kept to the time you received Christ, many that suffer these things do not make it as far as you have. That in itself is a miracle. And that Christ is steadily working, perfecting, healing and strengthening you again is a miracle. That bitterness and hate, and fear and also a trasfering of this pain to your family has been removed or is continually being delt with is another miracle. I am thankful for your salvation, for your growth in Christ, for the love to you of your present family, for your children and husband who continue to help you by way of Christ in their lives to show to you The Loving Christ that i too have come to know. Thank you for sharing this, and i pray that the loving, healing power of Christ continues to complete the great work He has begun in you, the perfect work of grace…and that you too , now have the promise of hope in eternity, where there will be no more pain, no more hurtful memories, no more scares, but the true honest pure love of Christ filling everything….yer ol bro….)m(

  • you keep learning, you keep growing……again, i am so proud of you!   i don’t think you’ve heard that enough in your lifetime. i plan to say it often!   have you had to staple your sox on yet?!

been a rough couple of weeks for me emotionally. when that happens, the tears flow freely, the discouragement sets in and things get to me.  the devil is at work….it’s so nice to have so many xanga friends to talk to and to be encouraged through.

i hope that we in turn are encouragement for you when you need that too! <3 bette
