Here is a question from the Beth Moore Bible study, The Patriarchs. I am curious about how you might answer:
Beth Asked this question. How does the scripture Psalm 115:3 make you feel? Here is the scripture: But our God is in Heaven: He does whatever He pleases.
In light of the testimony that I have been preparing for my discipleship class (I did not get called last week, so will be called on this week) this verse is so apt. I have felt on both sides of the issue, but I am curious what you feel about the verse.
My vacuum cleaner never got touched this weekend, but it has been hectic. I should be able to get on more in the next few days.

It makes me feel secure.
It Brings a feeling of sercurity because God is love (1 John 4:8). Psalm 135:6 says the same thing.
Be encouraged in your walk of faith and Remember, God Loves You And So Do We. *******
Well HE IS GOD…….HE does whatever HE PLEASES HE is our father, and we must obey!
My vacuum doesnt get touched either I have a maid..lol………..have a great weekend………………..hugs and GOD BLESS
Well, have to look at verses before and after! It is talking bout ‘other gods’ who are made out of silver and gold, made by hands of men…therefor their gods can do nothing while the One True God is able to do all! It is awesome to believe in Him~
Looking at the context it is reassuring! The psalmist is comparing God with gods of wood and stone. They can do nothing, He can do anything and everything!

i suppose if someone were looking for a reason to pick apart a verse, someone could say, god is selfish and demanding…..but, i’ts important NOT to take a verse out of context i think. knowing the meaning for a few words is sometimes evident just by reading them. it’s always best to read a verse understanding the history and context in which it’s presented rather than judging it just on simple presentation. you can either over assume, or underassume, or totally miss something really iimportant otherwise….just my 2 cents
I’d be interested in knowing what Beth Moore’s point was.
I agree in saying that I feel secure. He’s powerful beyond imagination, and I know that nothing can stop my God.
i SAY GOD IS AWESOME!!!!! and He can do whatever He pleases!!!
HE IS GOD….& WE AINT…..THATS A GOOD THING….. ;o) greg <><
Ugh. I have so much trouble getting to comment on everyone lately, but i am still coming by!

My story is similar but it was my brother that came into my room.i right now I can’t say anymore without breaking down, and falling apart, maybe later..
