Went on a date with my husband. A date is when we can go somewhere without the kids, and spend some time together. We drove to Poughkeepsie for some business stuff, then ate lunch in Barnes and Noble and I have to confess, bought books.
I found a delightful, funny and provocative book that you might enjoy:
God’s Blogs: Insights from His Site by Lanny Donoho
It says you can’t reproduce any part of the book without the author’s permission, so I am not sure I can quote much from the book.
But at one point it suggests going to the copyright page for a laugh, and I found this:
ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
ALL WRONGS FORGIVEN
Cracked me up, but if you want to introduce people to God as a very loving personal God, this is the book that can do it.
What a wonderful treat, and then to have a date with my husband, awesome.
Tomorrow I will try to put up more of the Bible studies we have been having. Still am working on my two minute testimony, what a challenge because I tend to be more talkative than that.
Hope you are having a great day.
Heather

Glad you got to go out on a date with hubby
Hi…thanks fer commenting. Yes the day was long and tiring, i just got back home and am about to crash while typing.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz….ooops my bad… Ah the date night…no kids….what was that like?? I’m glad that you guys got a chance to do that, it is really needed in our hectic lives. And a two minute testimony…that would be hard for me too. Well my brain is not functioning so i guess i have no suggestions on how to go about condensing all the blessings of the Lord into such a short time…..but you will do great…..see how i successfully slid out of that…what a transition…well bye for now…you guys have a great day tomorrow and a wonderfull weekend in case i dont holla back….be strong and blessed in the Lord…yer ol bro…)m(
Heather…the game plan for coached by jesus is this…it contains 31 questions, we will read a section a day, at the end of the section there are some “thought provoking” questions and game plan type things…I’d like for us to share answers to questions (where comfortable) and game plans…and anything else (on topic) that would edify each other.
How nice to have a date…….sheesh I havent been on a date in forever……and probably wont go on one in another forever!
Glad you had a great day! GOD BLESS YOU
A Date with my wife…. Boy could I use that right now. Life is too busy, I am glad that you have time to read a great book…
Blessings, Robert…
Sounds like you really needed it. I’m so glad for you.
Dates with your spouse are priceless…ours are too far in between…we need to fix that! Good job for you two!
Thanks for your comments about faith. It can be diffiucult to believe when everything around you is destroyed if we’ve put our faith in the God of this world, yet I’ve come to believe in the God of Heaven. He’s the Lord of Heaven and Earth. I continually remind myself that God is not building a kingdom on this earth at this time. He wants people to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. -can only be seen with our born again spirit.
Yep. Your pastor is correct. There are no armor pieces to cover the back.
Great book recommendation, I’ll check it out next time I’m at Barnes & Noble. I too am going out tongiht with my hubby……….to Horse College! Through our county extension office. We recently bought a farm with another couple, and we’re on this big adventure with them and the Lord. fun stuff. Blessing to you today! Becky in KY
Yep, got to make sometime, for them dates they’re so important! We had one a couple weeks ago it was great! We went out to eat (Mexican food) as we ate, we talked, gazed into each other eyes from time to time. But we noticed after we ate, and we discovered that it didn’t feel that we ate everything, although the plates were empty.
Life is short we do need to make more time for dates with our spouses.
Blessings to you
