Heard a teaching today that really knocked my socks off.
Where is Jesus now? Sitting at the right hand of the Father. If you look at the Temple, you see that there was no place for the High Priest to sit down. There was the Altar of Sacrifice, there was the altar, the lampstands, the table, etc. but no chairs. Why? Because the work of the High Priest was never done! No matter how many sacrifices they made, there was still sin in the world.
Only Jesus, the perfect sacrifice, completed the work of atonement for our sins. He could sit down because of Him the work was finished. Praise God for this!

That’s good, but the bible also says that Jesus ever liveth to make intercession for us.
yep, but He could interceed sitting down because the work was done 2000 years ago.

Amen!
Hello, I recently joined the Prayer blogring you are a member of . Just want to let you know that I needed to be reminded of that lesson today. Stop by my site sometime if you would like.
This is an awesome post, people need to know that Christ paid it all. No one can add to what Jesus did to save us, our past, present, and future sins are all forgiven, and Jesus is with The father. As high priest, Christ is our advocate, the mediator between us and God. 1 Timothy 2:5 Paul said, For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. He looks after our interests and intercedes for us with God. The Old Testament high priest went before God once a year (Hebrews 9:6-7) to plead for the forgiveness of the nation’s sins. Christ makes perpetual intercession before God for us. Christ’s continuous presence in heaven with The Father assures us that our sins have been paid for and forgiven (Romans 8:33-34). As Christians we must remember that Christ has paid the price for our sins once and for all (Hebrews 9:24-28). This wonderful assurance frees us from guilt (Romans 8:1), and from fear of failure (2 Timothy 1:7, Philippians 4:13).
So be encouraged in your walk of faith and Remember, God Loves You And So Do We. *******

Amen! Thanks for the post on sharing testimonies. I am giving my 10 testimony next week ironically. Thanks again.
hey–sunday’s suck for me cause i get the most spiritually attacked (usually). i lead worship for youth group sunday nights…and there’s a lot of intense warfare over tech and worship. i’m really spiritually sensitive, so i pick up on a lot of it…and i really hate it a lot of the time. i feel pretty beat up by the time i get home around 9:30/10 pm. thanks for your thoughts, prayers and encouragement. it’s very much appreciated. God bless ya a lot.
Hi Heather, my site here seems to be floundering. Perhaps the topic isn’t of interest? Maybe it needs to move along faster? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks. The whole sanctuary is something we could learn a lot from. Interesting input from Larry.

Heather, we all at one time or another deal with trusting God. Paul said that we are to fight the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12). We have to fight to here the truth, we have to fight to trust God, and we have to fight to walk in the victory that Jesus has provided (1 Corithians 15:57). That means that we have to develop our faith. To develop is to expand or bring out the potentialities and capabilities of. It is to advance from a lower stage to a higher stage, it is to grow. Faith must be more than belief in certain facts. It must result in action, growth in Christian character, and the practice of moral discipline. Peter list several qualities that we are to add to our faith for development (2 Peter 1:3-11). These quailities do not come automatically, they require hard work. They are not optional, all of them must be a continual part of our lives. We don’t finish one and start on the next, but we are to work on them altogether. God empowers and enables us (Acts 1:8), but He also gives us the responsibility to learn to grow. (Philippians 2:12). So be encouraged in your walk of faith and Remember, God Loves You And So Do We. *******
That is an awesome thought.
You are not letting anyone down. You need to be healthy for yourself – physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Hope no one here is making you feel you owe them anything. Or is it just you being harder on yourself than you need to be. You’re wonderful Heather; don’t forget that.
amen
