More Pictures. We were invited to a friend’s property. There was an old quarry which became a swimming hole with a 14 foot jumping off spot. My daughter was the first brave soul to take the leap, and her brothers soon followed. It was our last hurrah before school started. Now we are back to school routine, and all that entails.
Hope you have a wonderful day today.

how cool! Thanks for sharing…and thanks for your comment on my site (re: enemies)…that is a very good point…one I was hoping would come up in the discussion…Have a blessed day!
Looks like fun!
Thank you for your comments! I found everyone’s response to be unique and very interesting. I think some ppl freak out about the Harry Potter stuff because of how the Bible views magic: Ezekiel 13:20” ‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against your magic charms with which you ensnare people like birds and I will tear them from your arms; I will set free the people that you ensnare like birds.
There are several other scriptures against magic, but you get the idea. I think it’s those scriptures that cause some ppl to be against Harry Potter. I mainly posed the question to raise the awareness of the darkness around us, but first I was wondering how many ppl even believe that witchcraft is real. One of my sisters is into Wicca, the goddess Diana or something like that…my sister is the saddest person I know, I don’t understand her fascination w/ the occult.
Thank you again for sharing!
Peace to you!
WOW! Too cool… that’s on someone’s property?! That’s so neat!
Very neat pictures!
RYC – indeed it is tough having family members who feel they are Christian enough without really having given their lives to Christ. It is the case with my whole family. I was brought up a Catholic. The funny thing is that when I speak to my dad, at times I wonder why He bothers calling himself a Christians and goes to church every Sunday. He hardly believes in the full truth of the Bible as God’s inspired Word, the things he cannot grasp he shuns aside and refers to them as metaphors, he hardly believes in the fundamental truths about Jesus. But I still keep praying that the light of the Word will pierce the darkness in my family. I however do not tire bombarding him with the word. He calls me preacher and complains that I am always preaching. I pray that one day he and my whole family will come to the truth. However, I have released them to the LORD. They may be my family but they are not my responsibility. They are first and foremost God’s creation.
It is important for parents to constantly pray for each one of their children. Those seeds of intercession will never go in vain. It is important to set a godly example and be what we say we are. I know that when looking at my parents, this was one of the stumbling blocks. In my eyes my parents were hypocrites spiritually. They would tell us stuff and do exactly the opposite. A child has a good memory sad to say and such irresponsibility on the part of parents leads to disrespect. Indeed we reap what we sow.
I will be praying with you for your family. It must be painful as a parent to have to contend with your kids and deal with their attitudes; If they are adolescents, it is not surprising. But it is important to be firm and yet loving. In my life the loving bit really lacked….
Btw, those are great snaps there,
Sof

Your kids are so cool. I am not so cool and doubt I would have had the guts to do that. What a wonderful job you and your husband have done raising them and loving them.

thanks for taking the time to check out my site. i appreciate your prayers. i’m totally cool with only planting seeds… it’s completely up to the Lord. i do feel very strongly that this iindividual is on the fence… and so close to Christ pulling him off that i kind of am just standing back in amuzement. i love God’s sense of humor… it keeps me smiling all the time. well, again thanks for your prayers… at least i know that this valley is temporary and the Lord has amazing blessingsw ahead!
