• Here are a few more notes from the Prophesy Conference. See previous entry for the start. This will probably take several days to type out for it was 10 or more hours of conference.

  
  

   Yesterday we went over the signs of the end times.

  
  

  Then Pastor Don spoke about the Fig Tree (which is the symbol of Israel). Here are a lot of verses that talk about this.

  
  

  Hosea 9:10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstfruits on the fig tree in its first season. But they went to Baal Peoor, and separated themselves to that shame; They became an abomination like the thing they loved.

  
  

  Israel was the first fruit, they were to be a model for surrounding peoples to see how a nation, ruled by God would be. Instead, they started worshipping idols, and separated themselves from God.

  
  

  Jeremiah 24:2-7 One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first ripe, and the other basket had very bad figs which could not be eaten they were so bad. Then the Lord said to me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said, “Figs, the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad.” And the world of the Lord came to me saying, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: “Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge those who are carried away captive from Judah, whom I have sent out of this place for their own good, into the land of the Chaldeans. For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up. Then I will give them a heart to now Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

  
  

  God knew that for their own good they Israelites have to be scattered, for that matter (my notes from another source) so that they could be cured of their idol worship. When they come back to Israel, they will then return to God with their whole heart. This came true when they returned and rebuilt the temple, and later they will come at the end times, and then their hearts will be fully for God.

  
  

  Matthew 24:32-33 Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves you know that the summer is near. So also when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!

  
  

  Return of Jerusalem to Israel

  
  

  Luke 21:24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

  
  

  This happened in AD 70, and it was not until 1948 that Israel began returning to Jerusalem.

  
  

  Luke 21:32 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass way til all things take place.

  
  

  Now that Jerusalem is in the hands of Israel, the time is close to the end.

  
  

  There are two theories of what a generation is, one is a generation is 40 years as in Numbers, and in Psalms it is 70 years.

  Numbers 32:13 So the Lord’s anger was aroused against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of the Lord was gone.

  
  

  Psalm 90:10 The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off and we fly away.

  
  

  During the Six Day War, Jerusalem was recaptured by the Israelites. Many think that the time clock for Israel was restarted once Jerusalem is in the hands of the Israelites.

  
  

  Then Pastor Don talked about what was meant by Tribulation. which is pressure, persecution.

  
  

  Matthew 24:8-9 All these things are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you and you will be hated by all nations for My names sake.

  
  

  The word sorrows is also the word for birth pangs. All the precursors to tribulation are kind of like labor pains. And if you study the statistics (to be shared later) you will see that more Christians have been martyred for Christ in the past 10 years than in the whole history of Christianity.

  
  

  Another sign of the end times is a moral breakdown.

  
  

  2 Timothy 3:1-5 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away.

  
  

  This could be a picture of what is happening today.

  
  

  1 Timothy 4:1-3 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know.

  
  

  This is a picture of the new age, eastern religions, meditation, belief in past lies, reincarnation, and Christian denominations that start making legalistic rules and regulations that are not taught in the Bible.

  
  

  Daniel 2:32-33 This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay.

  
  

  This image that Nebuchadnezzar saw, portrays the whole history of the world, in who came into power. We are now down at the portion of the feet with 10 toes, partly of iron and partly of clay. Not too firm a foundation. Many have said that Daniel’s prophesies are so accurate that they were written later, after the events occurred. This was only a valid criticism until the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls when it was shown that these prophesies were written when it is said they were written, and unchanged over the thousands of years.

  
  

  Daniel 2:40-43 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.

  
  

  There is going to be an increase in knowledge and travel.

  
  

  Daniel 12:4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.

  
  

  This is an incredible prophesy in the time of Daniel. They did not have the modern transportation that we have. Today we think nothing of traveling hundreds of miles in one day, a trip that in Daniel’s day would take way longer. It was a big thing to travel from their home village to Jerusalem for the festivals. And we are definitely in the information age. The amount of information we get is exponentially increasing.

  
  

  We now have the technology for the mark of the beast. The US Patent office, Patent number 5638832 is the patent for a scanning device that can be put under you skin.

  
  

  Near our area is a gigantic tracking dish. You can go there and for $1500 have a device implanted under you skin for you, your child or your pet, to help track them if they are lost.

  
  

  There was even an experiment done in California where a prisoner was offered freedom if they could hide from the trackers for 24 hours. They imbedded one of these chips under his skin, he was told to run and hide. He hid in a dumpster in a large city, and was found within two hours.

  
  

  Now there are a lot of scare tactics about terrorism, lost kids on milk cartons, and fears about kidnapping. All is useful for convincing people to take this chip under their skin.

  
  

  Revelation 13:16-17 He (the antichrist) causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man; His number is 666.

  
  

  Our government and others are working very hard to make a one-world government, the European Union is part of this plan.

  
  

  I will continue later, but am getting the hint that others want a turn here on the computer. These Bible verses lay a foundation for what will be shared next.
